International presence and projects
The entity, guided by its commitment to improving the quality of life of people with special difficulties, carefully follows the evolutions of the European environment in relation to this undertaking, both in the field of the European Institutions and those forums from which work is done to defend the interests of people at risk of social exclusion.

Thus, the institutional presence of Gentis in Europe, as such and/or in representation of the interests of the people with whom we work, materializes in the following platforms:

European Association of Service Providers for persons with Disabilities

The European Association of Service Providers for persons with Disabilities is a non-profit NGO in the disability sector, promoting the perspectives of more than 17,000 social services and their umbrella associations. There are more than 80 million people with disabilities across Europe. The main objective of the EASPD is to promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities through effective and high-quality service systems. European Association of Cities, Institutions and Second Chance Schools

It is an independent non-profit and international organization of which we are part. Brings together organizations that promote access to education or the labor market for young people at risk of exclusion:  http://www.e2c-europe.org.

EASPD Annual Conference 2019 in Helsinki

The yearly assembly with the slogan “Staff Matters! Disability Workforce of Tomorrow” was focused on the recruitment, retention, and training of professionals in the field of care and social support for people in a context of growing demand for the provision of services in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the rights of people with disabilities.

E2C network General Assembly in Matosinhos(Portugal)

We participate in the annual conference of the MedNC network to work on new practices and face new challenges in order to improve the quality of employment for young people from Noves Oportunitats schools.

Projecte Erasmus+ You(TH) Are (P)art

We received an invitation from the Second Chance School in Matosinhos, Portugal, to participate in the Erasmus+ You(TH) are (P)art project representing the E2O Spain network.

European Project Let Me Down

We participate in a training for care professionals for young people with Down syndrome in Palermo as part of the Let Me Down Project, in order to continue working for their inclusion through the exchange of good practices and new tools for improving the non-formal education of young people. Project led by the Italian NGO Cooperazione Internazionale Sud-Sud in which the Associazione Famiglie Persone Down, the Bottroper Werkstätten gGmbH, and the University of Girona participate.
